'Creative kids' mixed media art classes (7-12 years)
Mondays, 3.30 - 4.30pm, Untitled Gallery + Studio, Coconut Grove, Darwin
Term 3 dates: 14 July - 15 September. Please note: classes won’t run on the Picnic Day public holiday, Monday 4 August.
Mixed media art classes explore a range of drawing, painting and sculpture projects, exposing children to a wide variety of mediums, skills, and technique. Unlock your creativity and get ready to experiment with a range of art materials! Recommended for students aged 7-12.
Term 3 projects will include:
Drawing and painting Top End birds and landscapes
Painting techniques and colour mixing - watercolour on paper and acrylic on canvas
Introduction to printmaking techniques
Design and print your own tote bag!
Term 3 enrolment (9 weeks): $252, all materials provided
2-week trial pass: $60, all materials provided
Important info:
Classes are drop-off / pick-up style - parents and guardians are welcome to pop into the studio at pick-up to see student work
Doors open 5 minutes before class starts
All materials provided - enjoy experimenting with a range of artist quality materials!
Classes include a range of 1-week and multi-week projects. Finished work is sent home throughout the term, sketchbooks can be taken home at the end of term
Small class sizes (max 10-12 students) allow for plenty of 1:1 support, while fostering relationships with other young creative people
Students are encouraged to bring a drink bottle and to wear clothes that are suitable for art making (in case of paint splashes!)
