'Creative kids' mixed media art classes (6-11 years) Term 3

Mondays 3.30 - 4.30pm at Untitled Gallery + Studio, Coconut Grove

Term 3 dates: Monday 13 July – 3 August, 24 August – 14 September

Please note: Term 3 classes will run as 2 × 4-week blocks, with a 2 week break on 10 and 17 August.

Mixed media art classes explore a range of drawing, painting and sculpture projects, exposing children to a wide variety of mediums, skills, and technique. Unlock your creativity and get ready to experiment with a range of art materials! Recommended for students aged 6-11.

Term 3 projects include:

  • Observational drawing, shading, and mark making – in ink, graphite, and charcoal

  • Litchfield landscapes – oil pastels on black paper / watercolour and fine liner

  • Design your own coral reef – sketch and design their own mini coral reef, then sculpt it using clay

  • Colourful creatures – watercolour and fine liner techniques

  • Classes are held at Untitled Gallery + Studio, 3/1 Caryota Ct, Coconut Grove

  • Classes are drop-off / pick-up style - parents and guardians are welcome to pop into the studio at pick-up to see student work

  • All materials provided - enjoy experimenting with a range of artist quality materials!

  • Classes include a range of 1-week and multi-week projects. Finished work is sent home throughout the term, sketchbooks can be taken home at the end of term

  • Small class sizes (max 12 students) allow for plenty of 1:1 support

  • Beginner friendly – grow your skills and make friends with other students

  • Students are encouraged to bring a drink bottle and to wear clothes that are suitable for art making (sometimes art gets messy!)
