Term 1 dates are: February 2, 16, 23, March 2, 9, 16, 30

Mixed media art classes explore a range of drawing, painting and sculpture projects, exposing children to a wide variety of mediums, skills, and technique. Unlock your creativity and get ready to experiment with a range of art materials! Recommended for students aged 6-11.

Term 1 projects include:

  • Watercolour - sunset at Nightcliff jetty

  • Character design and drawing expressions - self portrait and family portrait as cartoon characters

  • Mixed media drawings - creating with watercolour, pen, ink, paint pens, coloured pencils and markers

  • Acrylic painting - self portrait or portrait of a loved one

Important info:

  • Classes are held at Untitled Gallery + Studio, 3/1 Caryota Ct, Coconut Grove

  • Classes are drop-off / pick-up style - parents and guardians are welcome to pop into the studio at pick-up to see student work

  • All materials provided - enjoy experimenting with a range of artist quality materials!

  • Classes include a range of 1-week and multi-week projects. Finished work is sent home throughout the term, sketchbooks can be taken home at the end of term

  • Small class sizes (max 10-12 students) allow for plenty of 1:1 support

  • Beginner friendly – grow your skills and make friends with other students

  • Students are encouraged to bring a drink bottle and to wear clothes that are suitable for art making (sometimes art gets messy!)
