'Learn to Draw' drawing and illustration classes (8-12 years)

Term 2 starts: 13 April

Please note: there is no class on Monday 27 April due to a timetable clash at Untitled. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Explore traditional illustration and contemporary drawing techniques, and experiment with a range of paper-based mediums. These classes balance technical skills, like understanding tone, colour, shape, and shading, with creative thinking, imaginative drawing, and problem solving. Recommended for students aged 8-12.

Term 2 projects include:

  • Drawing dragons and mythical creatures

  • Still life in oil pastels

  • Composition and creating scenes

  • Coloured pencil blending on wood

  • Creative challenge: morphing animals and foods to create characters

  • Fragmented faces – shading and line work

Term 2 enrolment (9 weeks): $252

Important info:

  • Classes are held at Untitled Gallery + Studio, 3/1 Caryota Ct, Coconut Grove

  • Classes are drop-off / pick-up style - parents and guardians are welcome to pop into the studio at pick-up to see student work

  • All materials provided - enjoy experimenting with a range of artist quality materials!

  • Classes include a range of 1-week and multi-week projects. Finished work is sent home throughout the term, sketchbooks can be taken home at the end of term

  • Small class sizes (max 10-12 students) allow for plenty of 1:1 support

  • Beginner friendly – grow your skills and make friends with other students

  • Students are encouraged to bring a drink bottle and to wear clothes that are suitable for art making (sometimes art gets messy!)
