Term 4 dates: 6 October - 8 December (10 weeks)

Explore a mix of traditional and contemporary illustration and art techniques and mediums, including graphite, pen and ink, watercolour, and acrylic.

These classes balance technical skills with experimentation, creative thinking, problem solving, and self-expression. Suitable for beginners and those with intermediate experience. Recommended for students aged 12-17 years, as some projects incorporate student-led outcomes.

  • Realism and shading – coloured pencil and graphite

  • Drawing plants and fine details in pen and ink

  • Student-led project: landscapes on paper or canvas

Term 4 enrolment (10 weeks): $280, all materials provided

2-week trial pass: $60, all materials provided

Important info:

  • Classes are led by experienced artist and arts educator, Shannon, who has taught over 900 youth art classes and is passionate that art is for everyone

  • Classes are drop-off / pick-up style - parents and guardians are welcome to pop into the studio at pick-up to see student work

  • Doors open 5 minutes before class starts

  • All materials provided - enjoy experimenting with a range of artist quality materials!

  • Classes include a range of 1-week and multi-week projects. Finished work is sent home throughout the term, sketchbooks can be taken home at the end of term

  • Small class sizes (max 10-12 students) allow for plenty of 1:1 support from Shannon

  • Beginner friendly – grow your skills and build relationships with other young creative people

  • Students are encouraged to bring a drink bottle and to wear clothes that are suitable for art making (in case of accidental paint splashes!)
