'Creative Teens' illustration and art classes (12-16 years)

Mondays 6.00 - 7.00pm at Untitled Gallery + Studio, Coconut Grove

Term 2 dates: 13 April– 15 June

Explore a mix of traditional and contemporary illustration and art techniques and mediums, including graphite, pen and ink, watercolour, and acrylic.

These classes balance technical skills with experimentation, creative thinking, problem solving, and self-expression. Suitable for beginners and those with intermediate experience. Recommended for students aged 12-16 years, as some projects incorporate student-led outcomes.

Term 2 projects, skills, and techniques include:

  • Portraiture and anatomy

  • Still life drawing, using fine liner pen and bold colour

  • Anime / character drawing (sketching techniques and rendering in pen, marker, and watercolour)

  • Exploring pop art – mini painting

Term 2 full enrolment (10 weeks): $280

Term 2 skip public holidays – 4 May, 8 June (8 weeks): $224

Important info:

  • Classes are held at Untitled Gallery + Studio, 3/1 Caryota Ct, Coconut Grove

  • Classes are drop-off / pick-up style - parents and guardians are welcome to pop into the studio at pick-up to see student work

  • All materials provided - enjoy experimenting with a range of artist quality materials!

  • Classes include a range of 1-week and multi-week projects. Finished work is sent home throughout the term, sketchbooks can be taken home at the end of term

  • Small class sizes (max 10-12 students) allow for plenty of 1:1 support

  • Beginner friendly – grow your skills and make friends with other students

  • Students are encouraged to bring a drink bottle and to wear clothes that are suitable for art making (sometimes art gets messy!)
